Safari Itinerary

Day 0; Arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport our representative from John adventures will be there to pick you and being transferred to Moshi for overnight accommodation.
After long journey refresh and Relax then later on your head guide will meet you for briefing about your tour.

Day 1: Marangu Gate (1860m) to Mandara Hut (2700m)

We depart Moshi for Marangu Gate for the necessary formalities before beginning our trek. The hiking trail begins by ascending a beautiful, tropical rain forest. At the upper edge of the forest line, we have the opportunity to see blue monkeys. The trail then widens to expose beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara Hut. Over night at Mandara Hut

Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

We start the day continuing through the forest until the trail opens into high moorland. We may get our first views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks – two of the three volcanic peaks that make up the summit of Kilimanjaro. Overnight at Horombo hut

Days 3: Horombo Hut to Mawenzi ridge

This is an extra day meant for acclimatization and can be spent day hiking on Mawenzi Ridge. The unique landscape offers motivating views of Kibo and Mawenzi. After spending a few moments exploring the area we head back to Horombo Hut.

Days 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

We climb gradually, then cross the lunar desert of the “Saddle” between Mawenzi and Kibo. Our camp, Kibo Hut, sits at the bottom of the Kibo crater wall. Once here we rest, enjoy an early dinner to prepare for the summit day.. Overnight at Kibo Hut

Days 5: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak

Very early in the morning (around midnight), we begin our push to the summit. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. The wind and cold at this elevation and time of day can be extreme. We ascend in the darkness for several hours while taking frequent, but short, breaks. At Gilman’s point (18,600 ft), you will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see coming over Mawenzi Peak. Finally, we arrive at Uhuru Peak- the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. After spending a few moments taking in the plains of Africa and your accomplishment, we descend to Horombo Hut. Later in the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and a well-earned sleep.

Days 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

On our last day, we have a long trek mostly downhill through the tropical rainforest. Once at the park headquarters at Marangu gate, we collect our summit certificates. A vehicle will meet us here and drive us back to the hotel in Moshi.

Day 7:Moshi to Tarangire National Park

 This morning you will travel from Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park, taking approximately 3-4 hours. Tarangire is sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants. Enjoy your afternoon game drive. and overnight at Karatu Highlands

Day 8: Tarangire to Serengeti national Park

After breakfast we depart to the most famous national park Serengeti, “the heart of wild Africa with its endless plains” via the fascinating lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We heed to Serenora the middle of the park set in the Serenora valley. It forms an important transition zone between the southern grasslands and the northern woodlands. The area is crisis-crossed by rivers, and as the result this is where you are most likely to spot game. You will arrive in time for lunch where you will have your lunch and late on you will proceed with afternoon game drive.Later on you will head back to your loge/camp for dinner and overnight. Relax, refresh and rest for tomorrows schedule.

Day 9: Serengeti Balloon Safari

Early Morning around 5.30am from your lodge in Seronera you will be transferred to the launch site of balloons. It takes approximately on hour , then out of Africa style breakfast, return to rendezvous point where you will meet your guide and continue your safari.

Day 10: Serengeti To Moshi

Rise early for a sunrise game drive try to catch up with the rare nocturnal animal species as well as the early risers among the diurnal ones. It is a nice time to see animals within a close distance . After  lunch we depart to Moshi via Ngorongoro.

Day 11: Departure

Today you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight. Loads of memories to cherish welcome again safe journey to your way back home.
