Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our representative from John adventures and transferred to Moshi for overnight accommodation. After long journey refresh and Relax then later on your head guide will meet you for briefing.

Day 2: Moshi to Maasai village

You’ll be picked early in the morning from you hotel/lodge for the drive to Maasai village, west of Kilimanjaro. You’ll arrive the Maasai village just before lunchtime,  whereas friendly Maasai will greet you with a traditional welcome song and dance and some refreshing soft drinks. You will be guided around the village. visit the little museum where your guide will tell you all about the history, social organization and tools of Maasai people – and there’s plenty of time for questions and conversation. Later on gain your energy by having traditional lunch.

Day 3: Maasai village to Tarangire national park

This morning you will travel from Maasai village to Tarangire National Park, taking approximately 3-4 hours. Tarangire is sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.  Enjoy your afternoon game drive. Then drive to Karatu highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire national park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will depart to Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch in hand. You will enjoy a game drive to Serengeti via Karatu farmlands and Ngorongoro conservation route. The Serengeti is famed for its incredible wildlife, stunning views and the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras. You will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch proceed with few hours game drive, then depart to your accommodation where heavy dinner awaits you. Overnight in Serengeti National park.

Day 5 &6 : Full day in Serengeti National Park

Rise for early for a sunrise game drive to try and catch up with the rare nocturnal animal species as well as the early risers among the diurnal ones. It is a nice time to see animals within a close distance as most game like to line up at the roadsides to escape the morning dew. After breakfast at your camp you will then spend the day doing game drives for the whole day within the Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti comes from a Maasai word ‘Siringit’ meaning plains without end and true to the name you will explore vast stretches of African Savannah in search of the many animals that Serengeti has to offer. Apart from the wildebeests you expect to spot other animals including elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, and a lot of resident and migratory birds. Late evening drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight, relax, refresh and rest for the next activity.

Day 7: Serengeti national parkto Ngorongoro Conservation Area

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of the game drive travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will spend the night. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder. Ngorongoro Crater is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls; hence you have the opportunity to find the game easily. later on drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ngorongoro conservation area to Lake Manyara

This morning after having breakfast you will drive to Lake Manyara, taking around an hour. Described as one of the hidden gems of Tanzania, this park is famous for its tree climbing lions and large herds of elephant, which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle. After lunch you will drive back to Moshi   taking approximately 2-3 hours. Overnight in Moshi town.

Day 9: Moshi to Mkomazi National park

After breakfast our guide will pick you from your hotel/lodge the drive to Mkomazi National park. The park with Sahel habitat finds itself in a beautiful setting with both the Pare and Usambara Mountains towering above its boundaries. To the south the Pare and Usambara Mountains form a dramatic backdrop and to the north, Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park shares a border with Mkomazi, making common ground for migratory herds of elephant, Oryx and zebra. Together with Tsavo, it forms one of the largest and most important protected ecosystems on earth. After lunch later on drive back to Moshi town.

Day 10: Departure to Kilimanjaro Airport

Today you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight. Our team apricate working with you, loads of memories to cherish . “Karibu tena”

Packing list for safari

Try to stay away from bright colours – khaki and other neutral colours tend to work well. It is probably best if you dress in layers since it can get cold, but also very hot.Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
