Mount Kilimanjaro Overview
The highest point in Africa at 5,895m, an outstanding universal value covering an area of 75,575ha protects the largest free standing mountain in the world and is one of the seven summit. Enriched with mountain forest which is home to variety of flora and fauna, well-defined attitudinal vegetation zones; plateau, semi-arid, dense cloud, glaciers .

Seven main routes leading to the summit uhuru peak, one of which starts on the northern side and the rest Southern side the routes are; Marangu route, Machame route, Lemosho, Shira,Northen circuit, Rongai, Umbwe
Marangu Route
It is known as “Coca-Cola” route, Marangu approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast of the Mountain. It is the oldest established route. Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest route on the mountain.
Machame Route
Machame Route, also known as the Whiskey route, has become very popular. This is camping route which offers spectacular views of various landscapes such as Mt Meru, Pare Mountains, Lake Chala and Lake Jipe.
Lemosho Route
This route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west. It offers a chance to visit Shira Plateau (Cathedral peak) and Shira Caldera. Lemosho Route crosses from Shira Ridge to Shira 2 Camp, in a pleasant hike.
Rongai Route
This is one of Kilimanjaro’s easiest routes, and it has become an increasingly popular route in recent years. This route is located on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro with a variety of spectacular landscapes together with different plants and animals species

Its possible to climb Kilimanjaro all year, but Late December to early march and mid-June to late October are the best times its where the Kilimanjaro weather is nearly ideal. this doesn’t implie others months are constantly with heavy showers,Normally rains begins later in later afternoon.
Standardly it takes between five to nine days to complete the climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We highly recommend to take enough time to enjoy this great mountain adventure,atmosphere, wonders and the beauty of its unique nature.
